Network Marketing Exists Because The Need is Great
My friend, sponsor, and trainer (and the #1 top-earner in my company) says that the reason my success is virtually guaranteed is because the need is great.
He says that almost everyone I talk to has a need that my products can help with. He adds that there are 3 specific needs that the right network marketing company will address in the marketplace.
The first 2 on the list below are foremost in people's minds and they are typically actively looking for ways to solve them.
- Solutions-based products/services
- Income
- Healthy relationships in all areas of life, which is a natural element in the network marketing world.
Finding product and service solutions is much easier in the information age that we live in. We no longer need to wait for the right TV commercial or magazine advertisement to introduce us to new products that will be beneficial.
We can search on our own and most of us are open to products and services that are recommended through internet and/or social media avenues. Word of mouth referral and recommendation, however, is still the greatest advertising medium in the world.
Most of us share the common dreams of:
- More time and money
- More self-determination
- Good relationships
- More vitality and fitness
- Financial independence
- Secure income
A home-based network marketing income stream provides us with a measure of control in that we decide if we will work the business or not. If we do, then gradually over time we can, and likely will, build a significant and comfortable recurring income.
Passive or residual income is income that does not require our direct effort to create it. We are all familiar with the concept of exchanging time for money. We work for an hour and we receive a wage for that hour. If we don't work then we don't earn. This is called linear income or active income.
Network marketing begins as active income in that we are looking to find customers and also to train others to do the same. Over time, as people continue to order the products, we receive compensation on those continual orders. We no longer have active involvement in those sales. At that point we just receive passive income. The more people we add, the more passive income we earn.
This can lead to financial freedom.
I want my freedom!
That statement alone struck a deep nerve within me. I heard it right after I had been let go from my position as a university professor. It took many years to earn the PhD. that qualified me to become a professor. I had been a dedicated professor for 12 years.
I was upset to say the least. All my colleagues were encouraging me to apply at other schools. But I had decided that I would never let that happen to me again. So I listened to Kyosaki with great interest!
Kyosaki went on to talk about the corporate structure and how he saw people come and go, get looked over for promotions, get down-sized, get replaced, and so on. He was in the corporate world for quite a while and excelled as a salesman. In fact, he was the #1 salesman in his company. But when it came time to promote someone to the position of sales manager, he was looked over because he hadn't earned an MBA. That's when he decided to quit and never go back.
It's that kind of unfairness and harsh reality of the corporate world that leads people to heavy drinking, depression, and wishing for better opportunities.
When I was unjustly let go from my teaching position I discovered that the path to freedom from such nonsense is through being in business for myself.
I now take my teaching skills and use them to train people through an online avenue my nephew and I created (see it here). I also own and operate a growing carpet and floor cleaning business (want to see my website? Click here).
Both of these businesses had very little startup costs. Both allow me to live life on my terms and not someone else's.
I have also recently jumped into the network marketing world. I am just getting started but I know that since the need is great, I can grow this business and add even more income.
